If you’re anything like me, you bought an Apple Watch to simplify your life. But with so many features and widgets, sometimes it can feel overwhelming.
Thankfully, today, Apple released their watchOS 10, boasting a new feature called Smart Stack that’s aimed at simplifying and improving accessibility to apps.
In this article, we’re going to discuss into how to edit Smart Stack on Apple Watch to make your wrist companion truly personalized.
How to Edit Smart Stack on Apple Watch
Follow these instructions to customize your Apple Watch Smart Stack by adding, removing, or reordering widgets.

Add Widgets to Smart Stack
Adding widgets to your Smart Stack is an easy process:
- Activate Smart Stack by rolling up on your digital crown.
- Press and hold on a widget until the edit menu appears.
- Tap the grey box with the +.
- Scroll to find the widget that you’d like to add.
- Confirm by tapping the widget again.
- Click Done, or tap the Digital Crown to exit.
The widget is now added to your smart stack. It can be viewed by scrolling up on the Digital Crown to activate your Smart Stack.
Delete Widgets From Smart Stack
Adding widgets to your Smart Stack is an easy process:
- Activate Smart Stack by rolling up on your digital crown.
- Press and hold on a widget until the edit menu appears.
- Tap the red minus button to delete.
This will remove the widget from your Smart Stack without asking confirmation. If you accidentally deleted a widget, simple revert to the steps above to add it back.
Reorder Widgets on Smart Stack
You can’t drag and drop widgets to reorder them. The only way you can achieve this is by removing all the widgets, then adding them back in the order you desire.
However, you can pin one widget to the top of your Smart Stack.
Here’s how you can do that:
- Activate Smart Stack by rolling up on your digital crown.
- Press and hold on a widget until the edit menu appears.
- Tap the orange pin to pin the widget to your Smart Stack.
